Last Sunday we were able to attend church up next to the Oakland Temple for a special meeting
commemorating the 50
th anniversary of the San
Leandro Stake. Pam was in charge of the choir and recruited Ben and I to sing. Elder
Bednar spoke, and it was a neat experience for the kids to get to shake hands with an Apostle, whom we usually only get to see on TV at General Conference.
Afterward, we took a leisurely walk around the temple grounds, taking advantage of some photo ops.

Liam found a snail on the walkway and helped him relocate to a safer flower subdivision.
Sariah was in quite a mood for posing!

We had dinner at
Grandmom's to celebrate Auntie, Megan, and Mom's birthdays. That's a peach cobbler I helped make. It was insanely delicious, and equally as easy to make.

Sariah went orange picking in the backyard and insisted on posing again.
A great day for sure!

My friend from Fremont saw Bednar in Fenton's after the gathering. Looks like a great experience for the family. Nate saw the pics and said, "That's our old temple." Miss that place so much!!
