April 2017

Ruby sure loves her big sis!  Meilani is such a help.

A visit with Grandmom.

This girl loves the pics with mom.

Meilani's been making Ben's famous cookies lately.

Kindergarten well check...whoop whoop!

Meilani's high school choir at a competition.

Brotherly wishbone breaking.

Meilani sharing her gel nail supplies one Sunday afternoon.

Sariah's really stepping into the big sister role!  She organizes crafts and reads bedtime stories!

Ammon HATES shopping.  I try to go without him if I can, but sometimes, Target calls and we must go.  At least he was feeling gentlemanly and carried the very heavy bag to the car.

Spring Pictures...I never buy these.  Somehow though, I ended up with copies for only these two.

Sariah's had quite a few basketball tournaments lately.  They're usually pretty far and are long long days.  Usually only one of us goes so we don't have to take the littles (and pay for them) but Ben's had school lately so I've been on entertainment duty between games.  This day we explored parking lot boulders!

They do love each other, even if the days are long and hard.

Youth Dance

Meilani's favorite homework spot.

Easter Sunday

Waiting for Grammy's egg hunt and the quest for the golden egg.

We have kind of become professional dog sitters.  Ruby loves Charlie.

Ben went out of town for an interview and hit up the temple while he was gone.

Central Park water fun.

Jelly Belly factory during Spring Break.

Getting more beautiful by the day!

It was like a thousand degrees outside and we were killing time at a park while Sariah had basketball practice.  They wanted to get wet.  I suggested it would be a long ride home soaking wet.

We all settled on getting wet in our jeans.

Selfie mode is strong with this kid too!  She has to steal one of our phones to do it though.

Liam and the mom dreaded fifth grade mission project.  I've learned though, just buy the dumb kit and bang it out!  Liam loved every second of making it.

Ammon's really taking off in his reading, busting through his bob books.  Teaching a child to read and seeing the light in their eyes when the sound out their first words never gets old!  Magical!

Ben got to tour the high school theater that's finally being built.  All the meetings and hours of campaigning to pass the bond measure is paying off.  So happy to see our high school completed!

Our backyard has become a mud pit.  It's embarrassing and disgusting but these kiddos don't seem to mind.  It reminds me of the Jim Gaffagin set where he talks about big familis and how we might not have a pool but we've got the biggest mud pit in the neighborhood and ice cream buckets that double as tupperware.  Yep, my life...

Meilani and her choir friends matching for a blackout spirit day at school.

Sariah celebrated her 12th birthday at a basketball team bonding party that somehow involved toilet papering the coach's house across the street.

When we came home our porch was decorated welcomng her into the Young Woman program at church.  How is she 12 already!?

She also took a few friends to Rock and Jump for some big girl fun one evening.

Ammon refuses to go to sleep in his own bed lately.  We wind up compromising with him laying in the recliner.  We move him to his bed when he falls asleep but sometimes makes his way back in the middle of the night.  How is this comfortable?
