May 2017

Meilani and the MHHS choir performing at the school board meeting.

As an early mother's day gift, I went to BYU Women's Conference with some lifelong friends who have moved away.  It was so incredibly soul filling to have a few days to myself, to catch up with amazing women who make me want to be a better human, and listening to inspired speakers teach through the spirit.

It was the first time I've really been back to BYU since my freshman college days.  So fun to explore campus and remember my time there.

I did not fully appreciate as a student how nice it was to have lovely hot food waiting for me anytime.  Us moms were pretty impressed with the cafeteria offerings.

Visiting the Provo City Center temple.

Catching up with more old friends...

at Cafe Rio too!

The night before we left Brandi, Amanda and I checked into our hotel across from the vivint staduim and realized after seeing a parade of people crossing the street in Warrior gear that the NBA playoffs were happening that night!  On a total whim we decided to see if we could get tickets.  Lucky us, we sure did and a steal compared to the ticket prices at home at Oracle!

Super fun cheering on our dubs!

We won, and after the game we waited like teenage fans for the Warrior bus to drive past.  Super fun night.

While I was gone Ben had Eli and Liam set up the new BBQ.

The littles were entertained with the cardboard box.

ta-da!

Ammon is quite the whiz at the computer.  He set up his own account on some kid game website and here he is with his password that he kept in his special drawer.  Too smart for his own good!

Ruby and two of her current loves...blocks and her frufru dress.  She wants to wear it every Sunday.

Selfie, he works our phones too.

Liam had a lead role in his class play Gold Dust or Bust.  He was fantastic!!!!  He had a narrator type role and spoke the entire script so clearly, with a country accent!  It was hysterical and I was so proud.  This boy is meant to be on the stage!

park playin'

Love this little lady.  She wanted a picture together.

Another park while Sariah had basketball practice.  I'm never prepared with swimsuits, but the kids don't care.

Mother's Day gift from Ruby that she made at Joy School.

Eli's spring concert at school.  Last one of his elementary school days!!!

Another basketball tournament for Sariah.  I splurged and bought each of the kids a fidget spinner to occupy them during the games.  Guess how many times they got dropped behind the bleachers???

Mother's Day!  Love this family of mine.  We had a great day at church then went to Grandmom's for dinner.

My mommy and her grown up babies.

Seth had the most adorable American Symbols musical presentation at school.  Not going to lie, I cried.  Nothing sweeter than first graders singing about our beautiful country.

Sariah dressed as Cleopatra for her in class field trip about Ancient Civilizations.  As usual, a last minute costume thrown together.

Eli's 8th grade dinner dance.  This is how excited he was to go...

But because I'm mean and he's the ASB President, I made him go.

He was less than amused.

Fake smile for mom.  In hindsight, I should have let him skip it.  It was definitely a hard mom lesson for me.

Meilani hiked Mission Peak on a group date with friends.

These kids are fond of their lemonade stand.  I sure wish neighbors weren't so generous, encouraging

Liam at his piano recital.

Eli's not taking formal lessons anymore, but he's keeping up his skills.  The goggles help aparently.

Ammon's official last day of Joy School.

Oh Boy, I've got Joy!

Ruby was less enthusiastic about her last day.

She chirped up when she got to class.

Ammon and his buddies at their Joy School graduation.

What a cute boy!

This has been the best group of kids...

and moms to work with!  I'll miss seeing them on the regular.

Time seems to be slipping through my fingers.

Boys being silly.

Ruby doing her computer school.

Ammon trying to "help" her.

Welcome to Summer party.  Apparently the only picture I got.

Seth's class had a cute little promotion ceremony.  He got the "most likely to be president" award.

Eli promoted from 8th grade.  Here he is in preschool.

8th grade

Man he's grown up so much even just in this school year.

8th grade promotion

Eli gave an amazing speech as the ASB President.

All the fam.

Eli's best bud Angyleca.  They've been friends since Kindergarten.

My boy

So proud of this guy.  He promoted with honors.

Us three went to Reno for Sariah's basketball tournament.

Sunday night we went to walk around the temple.  Saturday night we went roller skating because the pool at our hotel was closed.  Eli agreed only because he'd never see those people again.  Fun time!

While we were gone the other kids went with Ben to the beach.

And they organized Grandmom's office after my entire lifetime of it pretty much looking like this.

After

The kids made a "pool" out of our expired water storage container.

playing at the park

Eli and Sariah broke a golf club at the blueberry farm we visited.  Their punishment was to do push-ups and post a pic on Jessop Farm's facebook page.

It was a full May!
