June 2017

We went for a day trip to check out the YW Camp.  There was a ton of water running through camp.

The kids had fun climbing and exploring.

Colorado cousins came for a visit.

Pool day at the Welters.

The whole dozen

Girls

Boys

Beach day at Capitola

Meilani missed a lot of our activities because she had to work.

Seth was too busy building to take a pic by the water.

Great America Day

Jackson hates roller coasters, so he was a great buddy for Ruby!  She calls him her funny cousin.

Ruby wanted a picture with every statue.

We toured Alcatraz one day.  Super interesting and fun.

I was worried how the kids would do on the audio tour but they were all enthralled.

Meilani and Eli had the amazing opportunity to attend our stake's youth conference.  They stayed at the dorms at UOP and had a few days of fantastic speakers, faith filled experiences and fun with friends.  It was unforgetable for both of them.  What a blessing!  Here they are with friends and the famous Hank Smith!

Liam lovin' on baby Olivia.

Sariah attend the Oakland Temple for the fist time to do proxy baptisms for our ancestors.  It was such a special experience to be in the temple with our girl!

We cleaned out Grandmom Sue's house.  I was fully expecting to find a treasure trove of old valueables in the attic and tucked away in closets.  In reality we mostly found empty boxes.  Here's a few items I thought were interesting...but not interesting enough to keep.

I remeber this exact jar of jam in the garage cupboard for as long as I've lived.  No date, prob from the 70's.

Grandmom would NOT let us play with her beloved Cabbage Patch doll.  The package was beat up but it was intact in the box.  1984, I was 5.

An old pic of me with my mom and dad.  I did take this one home.

A pic of my Grandad in the Navy.  So handsome!

A ticket to the 1975 NBA Warrior World Championship Playoffs at the Cow Palace.  $8.00 a ticket!

A picture of Auntie skiing and the exact pair of sunglasses she was wearing in the pic.

An old first generation Nintendo.

Vintage cursive letters that I think were in one of my grandmother's classrooms at one point.

We lost one of our chickens, Moonlight, one extra hot summer day.  Here's Liam comforting Sunlight.

We had a little memorial service and shared nice memories of Moonlight, aka, the nice chicken.  Seriously, why did the nice one have to die?  Sunlight charges me and pecks my feet the moment I set foot in the backyard.

A silly magician at the library one summer morning.

Ben went with the boys in our ward at church on a stake high adventure camp.

Eli had a great time but this is a pic of him after some leaders accidentally led them 10 miles in the wrong direction on a hike.  At girls camp, we pre-hike our routes...just sayin'.

One day they went kayaking on the ocean.  Eli got seasick but they got to see sea lions up close.

A day at the fair.

Grammy gettin in on the photo fun!

Summer's off to a great start!
