Meilani made the basketball team at school this year. It was her first time playing and it was a good experience. She played position "#1" most of the season which I found out later from a friend who knows more about basketball than I do, that she was playing point guard. Meilani's team didn't win a single game but I was impressed as I watched at how natural she seemed on the court. Her height is definitely an advantage. I'm glad she's enjoying her athletic pursuits.
