Spring Break

We had a full week of fun during Spring Break. Our break was late this year, so we were all more than ready for some down time when it finally rolled around.

Meilani's been studying the California Missions at school, so we visited Mission San Juan Bautista, near Gilroy, to get pictures for Meilani's mission project. History buff Ben could have spent hours looking around. With five kids in tow, we took a "quickish" tour. I could have spent hours wandering through the cute little antique shops nearby. We didn't get to that at all.

All 5 kids, looking in the direction of the camera, no one crying . . . miracle. This was in the adjoining gardens at the mission. They are stinkin' cute (The kids I mean).

We broke in our season passes to Great America the weekend before Spring Break, then went again during our week off. Here's Seth, enjoying his first merry-go-round ride.

That is, until it started "go-rounding."

Not so merry then.

He rode the rest of the way on the "Daddy horse."

We also went to an indoor bounce house place one day. And guess what we took home? The STOMACH FLU!!!! Again!!! Remember when we got the flu from another indoor play place back in March? Yeah, me too. No more indoor play places for us . . . ever. This time I'm sure it was caused by the germ infested slides because three other families we went with were also sick. So icky!!! This time only Meilani, Eli and I were sick. They can at least make it to a bucket. Well, most of the time. Okay, enough grossness.

Now I'm ready for summer! Bring on the fun outdoor activities! 21 more days of school, officially.
