A few days after Christmas we went to San Francisco to visit Mimmie, Tompa, and Uncle Kevin. It had been quite a while since we'd seen them and it was nice to catch up. A trip to the city wouldn't be complete without a trip to the park across the street and the kids spent some time playing and running around. We sure love Mimmie and Tompa. Their house is like a magical place for the kids. They love to play with their box of toys, explore the backyard, and find excuses to need to use the upstairs bathroom so they can sneak a peek at Tompa's music room.
Ammon got brave on the slide.
Whoa!
"I don't think I liked that."
Much better with sissy.
Abba taking in the sights.
Mutti, Tompa, and Abba. I love this pic!
Some children were happily posing for me. Others, namely Eli, was hard to catch!
After the park we went down to Ocean Beach just before the sun went down.
Sand dollar!
Seth was not too adventurous, very worried that the water and sand were going to get him.
The whole fam.
Uncle Kevin in the corner with Tompa, Mimmie and the kids.
Auntie and I made the annual batch of cabbage rolls while Grandmom supervised nearby.
On New Year's Eve our friends the Trumps stopped by for a visit. We had a great time chatting and catching up while the kids played. The few hours they were here went by like minutes and the kids happily played and entertained each other while we visited.
I think we stood at the door for another half hour, then again in the courtyard for another, not wanting to say goodbye. Just before they got in the car we pretty much convinced them that they needed to abandon Utah and move to Mountain House! Time will tell.
