Mountain House High School

July 17th we attended the ground breaking of Mountain House High School.  This day has been a long time coming for our little community.  Ben and his fellow school board members have worked hard with our miracle-worker superintendent Mr. Hansen to push this project ahead.  There have been many hurdles along the way which made this day so significant.  It's thrilling to see the growth of our community, and feel a sense of belonging and identity here.  I know that this high school will further the unity of our town.  I'm so glad our family has been able to be a small part of the process.  Yeah for Mountain House High!

Dale Hansen, our Superintendent giving remarks.  Without him, I really think our town would forever be without a high school.

Our kids got to turn some dirt too.

Someday our kids will walk through halls where dirt now stands.  It will be fun to look back at these pictures when they graduate.  Sariah's missed the ceremony because she had a birthday party to attend.  Pedicure parties trump ground breaking ceremonies, for 7 year olds anyway.
