Liam started his second year of Joy School today. I started my eighth. By the end of the year, I will have taught Joy School as long as my high school and college careers put together! I really had no idea what I was getting myself into when I began Joy School with Meilani all those years ago. Next year I'll have a break before Seth starts, and honestly, I'm not sure what I'll do with myself. I love Joy School (read about it here), and the Eyere's, who founded the program, are my parenting heros. Joy School has become just part of my regular routine. It has really blessed our family and I can't wait to see Liam's growth this year!
Liam was extremely excited for Joy School to start again, especially since the older kids started school a week ago. I'm glad he loves school, and I love that I get to be there to witness his development and learning. "Class" went amazingly well today and all the kids were so eager to be at school. Even Seth was thrilled when the doorbell rang and friends started streaming in. I had a big talk with the Joy School students right from the get go that they are just going to have to ignore Sethie some of the time, since he's still a baby. Don't tell Seth I said that. He thinks he's a big boy! While Liam sure knows how to push my buttons and test the limits at home, he thrives in Joy School. I think getting back to a routine will help him (and me) a great deal!

I am so proud of all that you have accomplished! It seems like yesterday that you were starting joy school in our little duplex on Desert Isle Drive. I love that you take your job as mom so seriously.
You are definitely the best joy school teacher I know!!! I hope I can do it for Mack out here. Such a great thing.
