Sariah and Ben went to a Daddy Daughter dance put on by the Activity Day girls at church. Sariah was incredibly excited and couldn't wait for a date with Dad. On the night of the dance we realized at dinner that Ben had a work meeting scheduled that same night. When Sariah thought they might not get to go to the dance she burst into tears. Ben quickly rearranged his schedule and we got Sariah all ready, make-up and all. Of course we couldn't find the corsage she'd made that had been on top of the fridge for weeks, so we quickly improvised with Ruby's hair bow. They walked off without the strawberries for the ice cream sundaes, but they had a great time, dancing the night away. Apparently Sariah and Ben were the only ones left on the dance floor by the end of the evening. Seeing Ben love our girls so much makes me love him even more. I eavesdropped on their conversation as they got in the car. Ben told Sariah to always wait for a boy to open the car door for her and that if he didn't do it, he wasn't worth her time. Too cute!
