More Newborn Goodness

The week before Ammon was born, Liam dropped a butcher knife on his toes resulting in a trip to the ER.  The guy who glued Liam’s toes back together asked me “What possesses you to have six kids instead of just two or three?”  I don’t think I gave a great answer, but I did mention that I’d have lots more babies if I didn’t have to be pregnant.  The toe gluer then replied “Oh yeah, the world would be grossly overpopulated if women didn’t have to physically sacrifice through pregnancy.”  Profound, no?  And I can’t argue there, because who can resist the miraculous beauty of a fresh new life, straight from heaven?  Meilani said to me the other day that she loves when we have a new baby in the house because our home is so calm.  Considering the moments of crazy we’ve had in the last week, I’m glad the sacred moments of peace are memorable.

Ah I love the old man wrinkly feet! Means he was cooked a little too long! :) Jonah's hands & feet were like that! He's such a doll Danelley! Hope you are adjusting and sleeping as much as he'll allow! Congrats again! :)

Ammon is so beautiful! Good job mom and dad! And that is a profound thought from the ER Doc. It is a sacrifice to carry them and ro raise them . . . but oh, so worth it:) We spent some time in the ER the other night as well because my baby just about cut her toe clear off. I guess toes are endangered all over the country:)
