New News

We're having a BABY!

Yep, another one.

No, we're not crazy . . . well, maybe a little, but in a good way.

Yes it was planned. All of our children were planned.

No, we don't know yet if we're "done," we take 'em one at a time.

Those are generally the answers I give, in that order, to people, strangers even, who inquire about my most intimate family choices. It's rather annoying, but I understand that we're somewhat of an annomoly, and people are curious. I know some people think that I must be chained to my home, commanded to breed, by my church, or my husband, or something. So, I try to remain patient as I attempt to enthuiastiactly explain why I choose to be a mother, and why as a couple, we together have decided to have a large family. I try to come across normal, and I think I am. I think generally speaking, I'm a very down to earth, regualr gal, which, I think, is why people find it interesting that I keep having kids. I mean, normal people don't do that, right?

Well, we had some strong promptings that it was "time" for another one, and in true Fobert form, I was pregnant immediately. While I wasn't totally ready for pregnancy again, as if you can ever really be ready anyway, I'm thrilled to have another little person joining our awesome team!

I'm so thankful that Ben and I are always on the same wavelength. Life is so darn demanding the vast majority of the time, but somehow, when it comes to the things that matter most, we're always in agreement. That is such a comfort to me, especially in instances like this when the world thinks I'm crazy.

So, bring on number 6! Yay for big families. We've officially arrived. (I was going to post a picture of the the positive pregnancy test but decided that that would be weird, and kinda gross. Wise decision, I think).

YAY! I am so excited for you guys and know you both are wonderful, normal people who can handle a big family. Carmen told me the other day she wants to have 8 kids in our family. I'll settle for half of that. ;) Wish I was there to help you through those tired days of pregnancy.

I love you Danelle!!! I can just see you thinking about how you were going to write this post, it is so you! I've been wondering if you had announced it to the world yet! I hope you are feeling OK and congrats again!

Yay! I'm so excited for you! I'm glad that you feel the way I do about families...it seems like even in the Church it's a strange concept to actually pray about having more children instead of just saying "we're done." I don't think Jason and I are done either, but we pray about each one...for some reason I do let it bother me what other people think about our choice to have a large family...I shouldn't let it bother me, but I do, so it's so refreshing for me to read your post and feel reassured that there are other families out there like mine...praying about bringing more children into the home :) I love you Danelle and miss you so much! I hope your pregnancy treats you well...not too much morning sickness...I get to be induced at 39 weeks so only about 4 1/2 weeks to go before our 4th little bundle of boy arrives! We're so excited for him to get here...just having trouble coming up with a 4th boy name although (hope you don't mind) Liam is on our short-list :)

I love how you articulated yourself, it really puts it into perspective. It really is hard to have a big family in a place that is so critical of large families. But if anyone can do it you can. I was telling Ry that you were pregnanant and he said, "The Lord blesses women who are good mothers to lots of children." And I totally agree. To the world you may seem, "crazy" but to the Lord you are "chosen." Good luck with the pregnancy! You are one of my example of how to be a great mom. Love ya!

Congratulations!! I'm so thrilled for you guys!!! You should move up here. I think I'm one of at least four families with six kids in our ward, there are a few that have seven. I think there might be one with eight. Until we moved up here, I never knew what it felt like to not be the freak with a million kids. They don't even bat an eye in our ward!

I hope this pregnancy passes by just as quickly as you want it to, while still being able to enjoy every minute of it!

Love you!
