9 months

I'm a few weeks late in posting, but our Sethie is now 9 months old! He's now lived outside of me for as long as he lived inside me! Seth is growing so fast, checking off those baby milestones just as fast as can be. He's got 7 teeth, is crawling at super speed, it seems, and is cruising along all the furniture. He has learned the power of his cry, and uses it to his advantage! Our sweet infant has turned into an opinionated baby! Seth can stand on his own, but only as long as he's holding something in his hands and isn't aware of what he's doing. As soon as he realizes he's standing on his own, he sits down in slow motion. Seth has mastered "mama" (sounds like uh-ma-ma-ma-ma) and "dada" but will not say them on command. He only says them when he's really mad and needs to pull on our heartstrings, usually to get us to pick him up. He still is so happy, and cute as can be. As his personality develops, I fall more and more in love with him.

Ready or not, here I come.

Seth is what I call an angry eater. He grunts and fusses while I'm feeding him, mad that the food isn't coming faster, but won't open his mouth quickly when I offer the spoon. He bites the spoon, and grabs at everything. He's happier to feed himself, but doesn't get full enough on the finger foods yet. This day he got into the baby food I was feeding him and kept wringing his hands in the sticky mess.

Seth was tickled when he learned he could push the Tonka truck while walking.

Seth's been a good sleeper until recently, so we've been putting him through "baby boot camp" as we call it. Basically making him cry himself back to sleep. This day he fell asleep sitting up.

Our almost walking boy! A couple weeks ago at church Seth was standing in the lobby with Ben when he was startled by something. He turned around to Ben and took his first real steps.

I miss that kid! He definitely is a Fobert, but in the last picture I can see your dad! Sounds like he's growing like a weed and I can't believe he's 9 months old now. Seems just like yesterday you told me you were pregnant with him!

Can't wait to read all about your Oregon trip!

Hi Danelle! I just read your last few posts. Wow... you guys have been through a lot. I'm so happy that Ben got a great job! But I'm so sorry you lost your home. I can't imagine how hard that would be.

I hope you're enjoying your new place. If you think about it, kids (especially young ones) don't seem to care where they are, as long as they have their family. (That's a lesson I've learned from Josie :)
