Seth's Blessing

Yesterday we blessed Seth in church. Ben had meetings before church, so I had to get all 5 kids dressed and ready. Needless to say I was late to church! Apparently the member of the bishopric got up to announce us and Ben had to signal that I wasn't there yet. Ben was embarrassed especially since two members of the stake presidency were there, but we did the blessing after the sacrament, and all went well. Our extended family came to show their support for Seth and I was really touched that they were there. Ben performed the blessing with the Bishop, Norm (Ben's dad), David Bean (friend), Sam Farley (friend), and Aaron Lehikoinen (home teacher) in the circle. The Spirit was really strong during the blessing. I was pretty emotional and felt so joyful and blessed to be a mommy of such wonderful children. A few noteworthy promises from the blessing: Seth was blessed that as he comes from a large family that he would not feel like one of many; that he would serve a mission for the church and bring the joy of the gospel to thousands through his example (pretty strong statement!); that he would have the strength to avoid the temptation of Satan; and that he would avoid common childhood sickness and be strong and healthy.
So alert! Love those cheeks!

In his "blessing white."

Love it love it love it! You guys are so cute! Truly. I think in these latest pics that Seth is looking like Eli. You give me encouragement that it might not be too bad for us come June...you look great, your kids look great...and you still have your sense of humor!

Awwww...your family looks so cute all matchy...you did a great job getting everybody ready even if you were a little late...I think people understand...it's hard getting kids ready for Church, there are always so many little things to track down and so much repeating the same statements over and over again, like "put your socks on! I've said it five times now." Whereas the response is usually something like, "What socks?" Seth looks so cute in his little outfit...I liked seeing the picture with all the extended family in it...it's been so long since I've seen everyone.

Yep! Seeing you handling five makes me believe I can handle four. Although you seem to have your act together way more then me. What is your secret and you can take on big projects like a city parade and TOFW. You are quite the woman. Oh . . . and your kids are adorable too. If you have any words of wisdom for me . . . please pass it on. Check out our blog too.
Love ya and miss ya!

That is so neat and what a cutie! Oh my goodness- he is adorable! I have to say that is pretty impressive that you got all the kids not only dressed for church, alone, but cute matching outfits as well.
