Halloween Fun

We had the most relaxing and fun Halloween yesterday despite Meilani being sick. We had a very low key day at home, carved pumpkins, had a leisurely lunch and dinner, then suited up for some trick or treating. Meilani and I stayed home to pass out candy (I did the passing and she watched from a safe distance!) and Ben took the other three around the neighborhood with our great neighbor friends. We relaxed on the porch at the end of the night taking inventory of our loot. I love days like this that remind me how much I really like (not just love) my family. They are so fun to be with.

Eli wanted his to look just like his trick-or-treating bucket.

Sariah was so pleased with her jack-o-lanturn's eyebrows! She drew them on herself!
I cut Liam's to look just like mine always did when I was a kid.

Our little Peter Pan, Dorothy, Elmo (Ellllllllllllmooooooooo as Liam says), and Alice in Wonderland (Sariah was pretty upset when she compared her own hair to the picture of Alice on her headband. She thought she needed a wig! Um, no).

It's wonderful to see your whole family again, Danelle! We sure miss you guys. It was so neat to be able to spend a few years with you. Congrats on baby #5! How did you get so far ahead of the rest of us? I hope everything goes smoothly. Good luck and enjoy the beautiful experience it is to bring a new little baby into the world.
